Who We Are
We are an all-ages group of individuals who have grown weary of the dismissive and neglectful way our rivers are being (mis)managed. From poo to poor agricultural practices, we believe every flagrant action of disrespect for our water and the environment should be documented, reported and ultimately prevented. This precious eco-system must not be irreparably harmed for the profit and ease of those who are responsible for it's rapid decline. Regulation and accountability are essential.
We know that together we can bring awareness. Good practices are available.
It is time for all of us to make a stand and demand action.

Our Founder - Angela Jones
Angela Jones is a wild swimmer and environmentalist who has been campaigning for many years to protect the declining SSSI/SAC rivers Wye and Usk. She has been invited to speak at the Sennedd and Westminster, acknowledging her tireless campaign to protect our beloved rivers and hoping to realise the dream of making them healthy again. She has been featured on Panorama, the BBC and countless news articles. Her contagious enthusiasm has encouraged crowds to take up the battle of protecting our beloved waters. Grass roots protests have joined forces with science, as scores of trained crusaders test for phosphates on the river, submitting the data for collective analysis. Spilled (and intentionally dumped) sewage is identified, filmed and reported by a burgeoning team of supportive nature lovers.
Her mission is clear…save OUR rivers!
and in doing so, the creatures and plants that rely on them for survival.

Nathalie Nicolaus
looks after our data analysis activities.
She holds a BSc in Environmental Geography and has written her dissertation about sources of water pollution in the River Usk. Her particular interest in freshwater systems is how we can work with them to help aquatic ecosystems and their wildlife recover.
She now works for Gwent Wildlife Trust as their Senior River Restoration Officer.
